Dr. Ron Daniels, Institute of the Black World joins Thom to talk about the 50th Anniversary of the assassination of Malcolm X. Malcolm X was one of the most influential political leaders of the 20th century. So why doesn’t he get his fair due from the mainstream media?

Everett Frazier says:

They overlook Malcolm because he was right and they don't want to admit it. Mlk was a fool

Truth Unveiled says:

I appreciate RT bringing up this topic and talking the real Prince of the Negroes. Often his views are denounced as violent and hateful well that's not true a all. His views are REALISTIC.

ryan Lifeguardryan says:

Black people in USA or suffering from Martin Luther King’s preaching nonviolence to white people . I love Malcom X

Simeon Cornish says:

They overlook Malcom X, because Malcom stood for black self respect!! Black self love.
They don't want black people to take on the role model of Malcom's physiology.

Salaam Allah says:

I guess Malcolm X did not find the REAL ISLAM in mecca !! he should have stayed with MESSENGER ELIJAH MUHAMMAD (pbuh) and his follish self would have still been alive today !!!

Black Prince says:

The historical legacy of Malcolm X should be based on his impact not on the emotional feelings of those who dictate whether he is written in or out of history. Hitler was a evil narcissist yet there's no shortage of his popularity I'm history textbooks.

Jamaica N says:

Long live Minister Malcolm X

One-HunDredd™ says:

All religion aside Malcolm and Martin were our greatest leaders

Ishmael Moh says:

this is a Russian propaganda channel that exposes USA. I like it.
but do these journalists call themselves Americans

Malcolm X says:

Why not show the KKK instead of brown looking terrorists at the start? People it's called "Programming".

farah desta says:

its just that Martin Luther King was backed up from some powerful Christian people , and eventually the white people knew that there is going to be change n blacks will stand anyway ,but Martin was the cooler way to cool the blacks down n make em stand kinda quietly on the other hand Malcom was a part of the discriminated community , came from the bottom of bottom as young man n found ellijah got inspired n thought he saw the truth later on found the truth n tried to spread it but shortly after got killed n not sure if they were ellijah's people ,maybe the white Christians played with it, cause what Malcom taught was dangerous to em n might have changed the United states, cause he talked to the black pple n the white pple too but before he had the chance to arrange it got shot.

JBourneID says:

We shouldn't ever expect America at large to commemorate the life of Malcolm X. He was a threat to the power structure and the American illusion.

aliveinpictures says:

Not sure if any mainstream media would bring this kind of enlightening discussion to the surface. Props to RT

Muhammad Nawaz says:

The great Malcolm X is the Bomb. He will be celebrated forever among us his own kind – his kin and kith . I don't care if no white man celebrates him.

Daal nuurshe says:

GOD GIVEN HUMAN RIGHT IS NOT SOMETHING YOU SHOULD BEG FOR BUT DIE FOR….

britins says:

King preached passive slavery while Malcolm preached complete freedom from the system that enslaves them in many ways but White people in the office that time could not buy Malcolm X on the other hand, MLK was begging for so called civil rights that the white people in the office created and was ready to offer.. the difference is with Malcolm's fight for complete freedom and god-given human rights from the slavery and oppression you become a free man you are born to be but with MLK's plan for civil rights, you are freed from chained slavery to obedient slave without chain. Now look we are still enslaved by the system and black people in America are still killed and jailed and not only that, these greedy bastards at the top of the system go invading countries after countries killing and plundering millions and we are in a state Malcolm X saw what the future would be long before many people in this world realized and now we need a man like Malcolm X, not MLK who accepted passive slavery. And the system definitely feared a man like Malcolm and they didn't want people to grow like him free and rebellious against the oppressive system, that is the reason why MLK is idolized while Malcolm is ignored by mainstream Media and Politicians.

Axmed Bahjad says:

The legacy of Malcolm X. Black people are told who to idealise and who not to. Thanks to Thom and Dr. Ron Daniels

NFWDO says:

What bothers me about this video is the first few seconds that Dr. Ron Daniels spoke he wrongfully says he believes Malcom X had become increasingly radical at the end of his life. This gets wrongfully interpreted as becoming increasingly violent. There was nothing radical about Malcom Xs views after his trip to Mecca. He spoke about self-defense. What is so radical about that? Simple plain solutions. Although I always respected MLKjr I still believe in choice. To choose to be spit upon and beaten in order to break oppressor is a matter of choice. Women are taught self defense or given pepper spray to fend off a possible attacker or worst a rapist – should she just go through the motions? I don't think so!

lifestraight says:

Good point about America's preference for Martin Luther King Jr at 1:472:06

TigerLIL 8736 says:

Malcolm spoke truth to power and power doesn't want to hear the truth because they do not want to give up their position of power for equality of others. He was not an assimilation-ist he was a liberator, that was counter to the white supremacy system

shootinblanks0 says:

SELF DEFENSE DOES NOT= VIOLENCE!!!! People got it twisted. How is defending yourself from the kkk and racist police violence???? SMH.
