Dr. Frances Cress Welsing Memorial at historic Metropolitan AME Church Saturday, March 19, 2016. Powerful and moving tribute to the life and work of Frances Cress Welsing (March 18, 1935 – January 2, 2016) at the longest held property by Black People in Washington DC, Metropolitan AME Church. The very same church that held the funeral ceremonies of Frederick Douglass and Rosa Parks. A historic place that we encourage you to add to your “must visit” list when visiting Washington DC.

I got the opportunity to see Dr. Welsing speak at Fisk University on 8-27-15. After her event, she signed books and many of us got a chance to take photographs with her. Thank you Dr. Welsing. You will remain in our hearts forever.

Dr. Welsing, It is so frightening to be on this earth without your protective shield, but you really haven't left us. You taught us to love, cherish and understand our true African History. You taught us that even though we are victims of white supremacy, we still have a tremendous African legacy. Thank u for everything. Take your rest in the spiritual pyramids along with the Egyptian Pharaoh. Rest on! Right on! We love u so much
