You know, I'm currently reading the book, "The Last Maasi warrior", which i recommend everyone read. A Maasi boy was told by hims mother in his Boma to run away from the Police as fast as his legs could take him as they were going to capture him apparently and take him to this prison called school and that she would never see him again if they took him. He told his mum that this didn't make sense to him as one of his friends went to this school and was learning how to count and that he got to go home to see his family.
His mother told him that many moons ago the white man came on the back of the snake "road" with one who looked just like them. The one's who looked like them were educated in western schools and genuinely believed the same would be done for their people, so they recruited more Africans for the white man.
They promised the old, young and everyone in between that they were going to take them to this school to learn all these cool things.
Some left to see the fuss. They never came back again. Later, his mother said, did they find out that this was happening all over Africa, people of white skin being accompanied by someone with a familiar face promoting education. This spelt the darkest days in the history of Afrika.
Now we know that it is beyond illegal for a Maasi to lie. It is beyond shame or comprehention for one to walk this road dishonest, if this history is true and it is, then who is your people exactly who are not Afrikan????
