When Professor Griff brought up BET it reminded me of like a year or two ago when everyone was complaining about how it's unfair that there's a BET awards but there's no award show solely for white people and that got me thinking about who owns BET. I looked it up and it's true that there's a black woman at the head of BET and I know for most people that would be the end of the line, but what a lot of people don't realize is that all these tv/radio stations/magazines are owned by much larger umbrella corporations that own HUNDREDS of different outlets each. So I looked it up and BET is owned by Viacom. Voting control of Viacom is held by a company called National Amusements, and Nation Amusements is a privately owned theater company owned by a multibillion dollar white jew by the name of Sumner Redstone. So there aren't really any decisions that get made at BET by black people that don't have to get the okay from the white man first, and this is likely true of every "black" media outlet in America. These companies have the facade of being black owned so that when white people push garbage into the black community, they can point to the black CEO of the company that they aired it on and say "hey don't look at us, you guys choose to air this shit" knowing full well they probably turned down dozens of positive tv shows and stories about black people so they can push the one show about twerking and cheating on your spouse or whatever they put in these so called "black" media outlets these days.
Why should any black celebrity help people that dont wanna help themselves..look how people talk about em like a daaawg! Dame dash the only one i heard speaking out against CULTURE VULTURES THE SHYT DONE GONE TOOO FAR!
It is our daily existence that keeps us in bondage. Why are we so willing to embrace the very system that enslaves us? Could it be that these so-called successful artists are the "buffer" class who consciously work to mislead the majority of Black People by claiming it's about culture, a culture of singing and dancing.
