this woman and all her generation need to "grow up". her and her crew have fed off the pain and misery of black people for 5 generations and have yet to begin implementing the solutions they taught. She and those like her have one product "sorrow". If she did see the movie she is ignorant. If she did not she is a liar. Django is a movie about a man who rejected the idea of being enslaved or a slave. A man who braved all manner of danger defiant of the odds, to recover his mate. The fact that he lived was a bonus for two defiant spirits. If you read anything beyond the headlines you would would know that Tarantino wrote Django as the Great ancestor of John Shaft. "Broomhilda von Shaft" note that Django did not have a last name in the movie. He took her name and lived a long fruitful life from which "John Shaft" is a result. Stupid is as stupid reads….. Those who listen to this woman will reap what they deserve. Margaret Walker said it well… "For my people blundering and groping and floundering in the dark of churches and schools and clubs and societies, associations and councils and committees and conventions, distressed and disturbed and deceived and devoured by money-hungry glory-craving leeches, preyed on by facile force of state and fad and novelty, by false prophet and holy believer;never building, never growing never creating……Let the martial song be written, let the dirges disappear. Let a race of men now rise and take control. Peace
Those movies are clear misrepresentations as well as tokenism historically regarding past periods where our people we're faced and under the demonic force of white supremacy.
I respect Ali but she did NOT watch Django! he got his wife and many others off the plantation and killed all the slave owners! This was a black hero! you cant even argue with the ending! maybe the concept but not how it ended!
ANYONE THINK A BLACK MAN CAN FINANCE A MOVIE LIKE DJANGO WITHOUT THE BACKING OF HOLLYWOOD????????????
