I watched a documentary that emphasized the "resentment" that African King Mansa Musa's people felt toward him. They felt like it was his fault that they didn't have any wealth. The white guy then tried to pry, asking was it because he dispersed large amounts of gold (so much that he over turned economies, just by gifting to the poor along the routes of his expeditions)…they gave a fake "yeah"…but; you could tell that it was much deeper than that. I think it was the fact that they were exporting their fellow man, in chains and stripped naked, shackled like cattle; into slavery. By the time that none of them returned… His people knew he had sold them out. Just sad and disgusting. King Mansa Musa was a practicing Muslim… He knew what he was inviting amoungst his people, first hand. He knew.
As I look into the audience all I see is older black people…where are the young black people at to understand his point…the youth need to hear this so that they can make a change as they get older…it's a shame how black youth have no interest in there own people with all this knowledge…

The Africans would come out and take the goods and leave GOLD. If the gold was deemed insufficient the merchant vessels would not leave until enough gold was added. It worked out pretty well, the merchants got rich from the gold and from all other trading. Most people don't know about that. Post 1500 — You need to check out what was traded for slaves much later too… There's enough blame to go around indeed. By the way, slavery is still going on in the world, and not blacks only…
