You are not in the best position to talk about racism afterall, we as Africans from Africa must respect the feelings of the African Americans when they talk because your foreparents weren't the slaves sold to America, Caribbean countries etc So if an African American talks i would advise you to listen and figure out where he's coming from. We Africans were not in the 400 hundred years of slavery like our African American people did. This cowardly and laziness activity for facing confrontations is a curse on Black Africans, i think you should get more education because i can see that you are confused, although i don't agree with Dr. Umar Fatunde Johnson sometimes because we argued, but he knows exactly what he's talking about. To get academic Degree is not a big deal, it's just a matter of interest and this has nothing to do with racism. The systemic racism is the most destructive one.
He's more talking about his knowledge and experience in the USA where it's common that Blacks folks are leaving their race and getting married to white folks or other race there to the detriment of their black people/ race. There's a Blog which says too many Black American women are single because their the black brothers are going for other race. Secondly,it's about population too,inter racial procreations can cause reduction of population among Africa Americans,so Dr.Johnson is trying to guard against or discourage the black brothers or sisters from marrying into other race.
He is an American, and here in the US, RACE permeates all aspects of society and determines practically every aspect of your life.. I find that those of us from AFRICA, (including myself) Find it hard to understand the significant aspects of racism in this country..Ifyou want to understand this,, you need to read and put aside all your pre-concieved notions..IN Europe, racism is very subtle..In AMERICA its on full blast..Just my two cents
Dr. Umar Johnson is talking to African leaders & black Americans that are useless because they do not accept their responsibilities to carry their touch high themselves. Sometimes Dr. Umar Johnson is sometimes controversial but at the same time their are some truth in his speech.

I wouldn't say that I'm 100% a fan or in agreement with all of Dr. Umar's work, but in this instance I do get where he is coming from. A person that is pro-black should believe in strengthening the black family. That doesn't mean that all black people have to be pro-black and adhere by this. I think it would be hypocritical for him to say that he is for the progression of black people but then support interracial dating when that goes against the idea of black people coming together creating families, building communities and establishing economic power. Not all people that that are 'woke', so to speak agree with the ideology of Dr. Martin Luther King. Malcolm X didn't agree with integration.
I do agree that black people shouldn't let racism hold them back, but I don't think that negates the fact that it very much so still persists. Even this whole college thing he is trying to establish has some issues but he is trying to do this because of the racism that exist in the mainstream school system. There is research and studies that show this.
I think the fact that we are talking so much about race, racism and inequality shows that these are still very much issues today, as they were for the generations that came before us. Yes, we may feel that we have integrated but we definitely still are not on a level playing field and that is a problem.
This interview on Fox with Dr Umar is a year old. Why have you chosen to review it? As for the good doctor, I can only agree with one of his points and that is for black American men to step up and save the black American family. AAs know they have problems and its becos the foundation i.e. the family is broken. His points are really for black Americans not for black Africans. As for his school, it is not only non blacks who are not wanted it is also homosexuals. I cant see it happening.
