Black Activist Miss Ali Says Black People In Secret Want To Be White, in Response to Nick Cannon Pic
In response to a controversial photo where Black actor/rapper Nick Cannon poses as a White person, Black activist and social commentator Miss Shahrazad Ali says "Black people in secret want to be White" which seems to be a statement as controversial as the photo. She states that the 3 most popular products sold in the African-American community are skin bleaching/whitening cream, blue/green contact lenses, and blond hair coloring. She asks "Who are they trying to look like?" Dr. Drew's panelists disagree with her. The panelists on this segment happened to be White (and an Asian) but in a previous episode Blacks have disagreed as well. Whatever Nick Cannon's intentions were, if it were a publicity stunt to get attention for his album, it seems to have worked. The name of the album is "White People Party Music."
