I love Dr. Wilson's brilliantly insightful statement that the black people of Earth will not get a better deal under Asian domination anymore than it has under white global domination, that what blacks need is *black* power and *black* nationhood. Some 20 years on, the late doctor's words are proving true as China is now taking over the colonialization of the African continent.
Agreed. And this is what I was wondering if Dr. Clarke had, at some point in his life, struggled with, because in several lectures he seemed to praise Karl Marx while simultaneously condemning him. He appeared to flirt with the idea of dictatorship while, again, simultaneously condemning it. And I am curious where he finally landed at the end of his life. Dr. Clarke came to many, many brilliant conclusions, but in some areas I'm not sure he'd finally made up his mind.
MANY OF US ARE SURE NOT USE A WHITE YARDSTICK TO MEASURE A BLK PLAYING FIELD. COLLECTIVITY AND COLLECTIVISM ARE AS DIFFERENT AS NIGHT AND DAY. THEY SAY THE MOST POWERFUL THING IN THE WORLD IS THE POWER TO DEFINE. BY USING OTHERS DEFINITIONS, MANY OF US ONLY END UP STRUGGLING WITHIN THE CONFINES THAT THE PEOPLE WE ARE STRUGGLING AGAINST HAVE LAYED DOWN.
I've listened to Dr. Clarke's lectures here & I tend to agree with you on some aspects of his lectures. I don't think he was actually willing to see some of the flaws – & some of them major – in black African culture & tradition. I also saw that he seemed to have a very dubious desire to flirt with collectivism, something that history has shown, especially in its more virulent forms of Nazism & Communism, as a bane to human progress & happiness.
