——————-
Going beyond Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome, Dr. Oba T’Shaka and Professor Kaba Kamene reveal these stages as the “Reconstruction of the Black Mind!” the most important gain made by the Civil Rights/Black Power generation and it is the most important inheritance that the Sixties generation passes onto the Hip Hop generation to free minds, spirits and bodies from the Post-Traumatic Slave Syndrome.

Since the post-1968 period Black extended family communities and two-parent households have been weakened by hostile external forces producing the Post Traumatic Drug Culture Syndrome, the Post-Traumatic Death Syndrome, the Post Traumatic Individualistic Syndrome and the Post Traumatic Materialistic Syndrome, that threatens the continued existence of our rich African American culture.

The Six-Fold Stages to Mental Freedom provides the psychological empowerment necessary to heal Black people from these syndromes of oppression the pre-condition for restoring Black People in the United States and worldwide to their historical greatness.

Tianja Bean says:

Hetepu, after the e-course then hearing these lessons, I thank you Bro Philippe. Honored and much respect to Dr. Oba T'Shaka and Prof Kaba. As a person who lives on a colony (Bda) of euro rule, this is unlike any other place in the caribbean, meaning we don't know our Afrikan truth. Some of us have had our DNA and traced our linage this way, but, when calling ourselves Afrikan Bermudians these people become indignant. We are still a majority but the Afrikan consciousness is very very narrow. Yes our people need to hear from you Dr. T'Shake. Who after reading Leaders book 1 and 2, assisted with my knowing how to ORGANIZE and coming out of the system I had to do something.
I was a military dependent until my father was killed in Vietnam in 1970. The moving back to G'Boro. NC grad from A&T St. Univ., going to Germany for 10 years. in 1980, I was introduced to a sistah from The Afrikan Hebrew Israelite of Jerusalem community ; who at the time had a community on island (Bda). I was teaching a voice class and joined the band with this community. EVERYONE thought I was losing my mind. My dress changed from high fashion, big hair, long nails, lipstick, lashes to Afrikan attire COMPLETELY morphed. The beginning of my Black Identity with a "get out of my way, I'm doing this because it is the right thing to do attitude." Retired as an entertainer and began my journey. Met Queen Afua In G'boro NC. I followed spirit. My Grandfather (mothers father ) had told me, "we are from Ethiopia" as we were growing up we would return on island ever summer. It CHANGED my life. I have been on this journey of consciousness since then. I can honestly say having experienced three extreme life changes ; entertainer, Afrikan dance teacher, teacher of Afrikan studies, has brought me completion and when I close my eyes sooner than later I will have done every single thing I've ever wanted to do and if I liked it I'd do it again. Revolution time is now, I'm contributing to it through education of Afrikan self preservation with pride and dignity so the Sistah Circle is the extension of that preservation. "It ain't over til we win." Hotep
