I encourage everyone to look up the population statistics for their city on black neighborhoods pre and post integration. You will see that large amounts of black folks moved into newly built integrated housing developments throughout the mid 70's through the early 2000's. BLACK PEOPLE ABANDONED THEIR NEIGHBORHOODS INSTEAD OF BUILDING THEM UP. THIS IS A FACT BACKED BY INSURANCE MAPS, CENSUSES, ETC. GENTRIFICATION ONLY WORKED BECAUSE WE LEFT OUR AREAS WIDE OPEN. WHITE FOLKS ONLY BUILT THE INTERSTATES WE DID THE REST OF THE DIRTY WORK. REVERSE THAT AND WE WIN.
The thing I love about Asia more specifically China is the people will quote you in American dollar to help you out (& themselves if you don’t know you can get it ALMOST @ cost). In traveling to Thailand, Bali, Kuala Lumpur (KL), etc. the value of their currency is VERY LOW. Exchange your $0.03 in Thailand, KL, Philippines you get a whole lot of their currency. Do not let the opportunity to sell walk away!!! LEARNing the LANGUAGE HELPS the NEGOTIATION PROCESS WONDERFUL. Working with the military children overseas allows them to keep $$$ in their pockets longer due to negotiating, as well as, Exchange rates being significantly spread across the spectrum (unlike Canada/Europe 1 EURO = $1.33).
Agree, but from my experience in working in China and Vietnam the primary the dynamic is the need to "eat", the need for the individual and family to survive. Everything else is secondary
