Toby Cadman says:

A man of principle, a rare thing these days. Stood up for what he believes in. Respect to you Tony.

notdrivingaminimetro says:

BANG! That's how things are boy………what a guy

A part of the universe aware of my existence. says:

I fully support Tony Martin.

John Holt says:

What a legend, really hope he enjoys his later years, without any more scumbags. Take care Tony Martin.

Brenda Bender says:

I once had a chat with a store worker in Walmart in Orlando Florida. My son (8) was with me and was in awe of how, with the right paperwork, a person would be able to buy a firearm and bullets (not shotgun) in what was effectively a supermarket.
We looked at the various guns in the locked cabinet and this guy came over to chat.
I said that in the wake of shootings such as Dunblane, all firearms were banned in the UK and if a homeowner was deemed to have used more than "reasonable force" against any intruder, then he was likely to feel the force of British law, much as Tony Martin did.
This guy was incredulous and said that the law in the US meant that "you break into my home then you are dead…." Chilled me to the bone it did.
Anyway, all of the hand-wringers and do-gooders who petitioned against Tony Martin who decided to stick up for himself and shoot a couple of human parasites who were good for nothing except stealing from hard working law abiding folks.
The police mug-shot of the grinning little cunt who died taken two days before he got his shows he had no remorse for what he'd done and had no issue with doing it again.
All I can say is that if it was two minutes between him getting shot and dying, then he was luckier than thieves all over the world. He could've been beaten to within an inch of his scumbag life for a while and then torched in the street.

GG Allin says:

"If you start running you'll be forever running"
This mans the truth

newmarket34 says:

An Englishmans home is his castle – quite right Tony. Hopefully history will be kinder to you than the "law" was

Stephen Miller says:

Shame on our judicial system.

3333topcat says:

Best part of the documentary. "What goes around comes around". The story depicts a scared, frail old man until the end where we meet the real man himself. He clearly knew exactly what he was doing. If someone comes into your personal space (house) like that, they should be prepared for any consequences. I would like to think that we would all defend ourselves, our families and our property in the same way. It's very true that in society today, no one is going to help you, so you have  to look after yourself. Most of us just don't own a gun.

Jacob Fletcher says:

Many call him a psycho. Truth is the burglars got what they got. He seems like a nice guy really. Nothing against what he did.

liam green says:

Our Tony. Our local hero. Saw him last week in town. Beret and all. Big up.

Steve BB says:

I miss this kind of voice of reason. Don't get me wrong, any loss of life is sad, but if you choose the wrong path that's where it will lead.

Tom Baker says:

This is a tough man – one who, in many ways, I admire. How he could leave everything behind, having (as he says here) never returned since that infamous night, is quite amazing. It's also amazing (& somewhat puzzling) that he attempted to farm (supposedly) 200 acres of land on his own. Surely, it was bound to get run down, &, in turn, attract burglars.
