I hope this video helps you know that you are not alone… that confidence takes constant action and effort… to be patient with your evolution.

chelsea kanuckel says:

I am put into a lot of situations as a female sales representative where the “guys” of the group will often try to over power the tone of my voice. As a woman I struggle with wanting to remain poised, while also confident in a way that I don’t seem too uptight.

How does one remain persistent without being annoying or seeming too straight forward?

When my demeanor reflects these characteristics I don’t seem to get the answer I’m looking for or i am just completely ignored.
Tips?

Deanna West says:

I love this
I definitely been hearing "Do it scared" alot and I just love the meaning behind it.

Shelby Steele says:

Regarding the cold calling, I just watched a webinar where the instructor said that when she first started out she would pretend she was representing herself. For example, if your name is Mary you would call the potential client and say "Hi I'm Sarah and I represent Mary Joe with XYZ Company…". This not only makes your business look more professional because you have staff or an assistant, it puts some space between you and the client so you feel less intimidated and more confident.

Young And Nothing says:

Miss i need advice do you think its wise to pursue a degree in Journalism or Communications. Because i read your YouTube Bio and it seemed a like you were riding a career Bull you where just all over the place. I just wanted clarity on the matter and maybe what approach to take concerning finding a career in a particular area concerning media.

I am a young African American woman, in a male dominated feild, I am a mechanic, I am so thankful for this. I recently took a skills test called talify and I scored extremely high in every area accept *confidence*. I can see how lack of confidence has affected my ability to generate income. I have been overlooked, viewed a sexual object ( told, "you can bend over my car anytime!), even laughed at when I present myself and explain my skills. The mental frustration has made me want to quit several times. I am working to created a service driven business and it is really hard to keep putting yourself out there when you get belittled and shut down so much. I am ordering the book you highlighted.
